DFB-Pokal
Bayer 04 have reached the final of the national cup competition at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin five times. The Werkself won the title in 1993 with a 1-0 win against the Hertha Berlin Reserves, and in 2024 with a 1-0 victory against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The other finals were all lost, A 4-2 defeat against Schalke in 2002, a 1-0 defeat against Werder Bremen in 2009 and a 4-2 defeat against Bayern Munich in 2020.

After a weekend that concluded one of most dominant seasons in the history of European club football, Bayer 04 Leverkusen were treated to a hero’s welcome Sunday back home by fans in Leverkusen. At the same time, within global football and sports media, Die Werkself were recognized across the world for their German double, their first-ever league title and a team spirit that enabled them to become the first undefeated team in Bundesliga history.
