Season review, Rückrunde: Strong finish despite host of injuries

There were great celebrations at the end of the season that saw Bayer 04 finish third in the Bundesliga to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League for the thirteenth time. After a Hinrunde with highs and lows, the Werkself had to overcome several injuries in the second half of the season but impressed in the run-in with great flexibility and team structure. Today's review: the Rückrunde.

News in brief: Czarnieki awarded UEFA PRO licence

In addition to Stefan Kießling, another member of the team behind the team has successfully completed a training course: Bayer 04 coordinator of senior and youth sections Slawomir Czarnieki has successfully completed training as a football coach and he now has the UEFA PRO licence. Also in today’s news in brief: Florian Wirtz has been named the Werkself player of the season and a member of the Veterans team celebrates his birthday.
