Boniface is Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August

Six goal involvements in the first three league games make Victor Boniface the top scorer and provider in the Bundesliga at the moment. After that successful start to the campaign, the Werkself summer signing has now been voted Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August.

40% of the votes came from the fans with 30% each from the 18 team captains plus a panel of pundits.

Alongside Boniface, signed in the summer from Belgian top-flight club Union Saint-Gilloise, goalkeeper Noah Atubolu (SC Freiburg) and Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig) were also nominated in the vote for Bundesliga Rookie of the Month.

Women: Emilie Bragstad joins Hammarby IF

Central defender Emilie Bragstad is leaving Bayer 04 Leverkusen with immediate effect to join top-flight Swedish club Hammarby IF. The 23-year-old had a contract with the Werkself to the summer of 2026. The two clubs have agreed not to reveal details of the transfer.
