Mitchell Weiser has seen and experienced a few things for his age. FC Köln, Bayern Munich, FC Kaiserslautern, Hertha Berlin – those were his clubs before his move to the Werkself. He was practically born with talent and position: His father Patrick, U19 coach at Bayer 04, also played as a full-back in the Bundesliga – albeit on the left. "I've never felt pressure from him, he always allowed me to make up my own mind and encouraged me with positive feedback," said 'Mitch'. His previous career highlights: the 1-0 winner in the final against Spain to win the U21 European Championships in 2017. A header – rather unusual for a full-back.
