The Werkself have experienced six intensive days in St. Louis with lots of special impressions and encounters. Also on the agenda: Watching a college basketball game and an NHL match at the end of the trip.

The end of the USA tour marks the start of a two-week break the Werkself. The team under head coach Xabi Alonso return to training in Leverkusen from 1 December. Bayer 04 have a friendly away to Rangers in Glasgow on 10 December and there will be a second break from training from 19 December to 2 January.

Bayer 04 Women won 3-1 away at Turbine Potsdam on Friday night to maintain their chances of finishing in the top three and qualifying for the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Delice Boboy, Cornelia Kramer and Karolina Lea Vilhjalmsdottir struck for the Werkself at the Google Pixel Bundesliga’s bottom club, whose relegation was confirmed with the result. Leverkusen’s 12th win of the campaign took them up to 40 points.
