The goals for Bayer 04 on matchday 16 were scored by Mitchel Bakker (21'), Amine Adli (43') and Nadiem Amiri (67'). Borussia substitute Lars Stindl netted a late brace to make it 3-2 (82', 90+3') but the team under head coach Xabi Alonso held onto the lead to secure a fourth Bundesliga win in succession.
