Sadik Fofana moved from Alemannia Aachen to Bayer 04's youth academy in the summer of 2020. In the 2022/23 season, the defender played on loan for 1. FC Nürnberg in the Bundesliga 2, and in the following season for Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch Eredivisie. Fofana made his debut for Togo at national team level in March 2024.

Fofana joins FC Nürnberg on loan
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have recognised the good performances of the U19 player Sadik Fofana by awarding the central defender a first team contract to 30 June 2025. The club has also agreed a loan deal with FC Nürnberg with the 19-year-old set to play for the second division club for the next two seasons.
