Midfielder Jonas Hofmann joined Bayer 04 for the start of the 2023/24 season. The Germany international arrived from league rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach and he signed a contract at Leverkusen to 2027. "We have been looking at Jonas for some time," said sporting managing director Simon Rolfes. "Thanks to his vision, his excellent technical skills as well as his experience, he is the type of player we were looking to add to our squad."

Bayer 04 player Jonas Hofmann is one of ten people invited to contribute to the exhibition 'sein & haben' (to be & to have) at Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen. The exhibition is set to open on Sunday 19 November. On this Wednesday evening there will be an exclusive preview for invited guests at Museum Morsbroich. The ten people have selected artwork from the museum’s collections and have each curated their own room.

The big match in Group H: The Werkself entertain the Azerbaijani champions Qarabag at the BayArena in the third group match in the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League campaign. The game between the group leaders from Leverkusen and second-placed Qarabag is on Thursday 26 October (kick-off: 21.00 CEST). Head coach Xabi Alonso and midfielder Jonas Hofmann highlighted the relevance of the game at the pre-match press conference. A third victory in the third outing would put the Werkself in a good position to win the group and progress to the knock-out rounds.

Werkself sign Germany international Jonas Hofmann
Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed Germany international Jonas Hofmann. The midfielder, who will wear the number seven shirt, joins the Werkself from league rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach on a contract to 30 June 2027.
