French U21 international Jeanuel Belocian has joined Bayer 04 for the 2024/25 season from first division club Stade Rennes in his home country. The full-back, who can also play in the central defensive position, signed a contract under the cross that runs until 30 June 2029. Sporting Director Simon Rolfes emphasised in the course of Belocian's move to Unterm Kreuz: "Jeanuel is a signing with vision - he will give us a lot of pleasure in the coming years and has the potential to become an important player for Bayer 04."

Belocian out for rest of season with cruciate ligament injury
Bayer 04 will be without Jeanuel Belocian for several months after the defender tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Sunday’s friendly against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. The initial checks in the stadium on the day had not suggested such an injury.

Bayer 04 sign France U21 international Belocian from Stade Rennes
The France U21 international Jeanuël Belocian will join the champions of Germany and DFB Pokal winners Bayer 04 Leverkusen from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes for the coming season. The 19-year-old full-back, who can also play in central defence, has signed a contract with the Werkself to 30 June 2029.
