Argentinian attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendía joined Bayer 04 from Aston Villa at the end of January 2025 on loan until the end of the season. ‘Emiliano Buendía is a good, technically skilled footballer who is passionate and assertive. He has proven himself in more than 100 games in the demanding Premier League and brings a lot of experience with him to help us achieve our goals straight away,’ explained Bayer 04 Managing Director of Sport Simon Rolfes following the signing of the right-footer, who has both Argentinian and Spanish citizenship.
