Timothy Fosu-Mensah expanded the Dutch contingent under the Bayer Cross in January 2021. The 1.90 metre tall right-back joined Bayer 04 from top English club Manchester United with a contract at Leverkusen to 2024. The Amsterdam-born player joined fellow countrymen Daley Sinkgraven. He made seven apperances for the Werkself before suffering a torn cruciate in February 2021.
