Dr. Malte Krüger – head of sports science and fitness

Dr. Malte Krüger studied at the Institute for Training Science and Sport Informatics at the German Sport University in Cologne and he completed his doctorate there too. As early as 2009, he had contact with Bayer 04 players as part of a cooperation between Bayer 04 and the Sports University. Dr Krüger became the head of this partnership and moved completely under the Bayer cross at the beginning of 2019.

Since then, he has kept a constant eye on the physical workload of the Werkself and gives feedback to the coaching team.
