Daniel Jouvin – Fitness coach

His nickname and appearance initially appear to be contradictory: 'Giga' is physically anything but a giant at 1.65 metres in height but in terms of his quality as a fitness and rehab coach he belongs to the top of his profession. Back home in Brazil, where he was the national champion in jui-jitsu, Daniel Jouvin learned from famous doctors and physiotherapists, worked for the big club Flemengo Rio de Janeiro and even the Brazil national team.

Jouvin came to Bayer 04 in 2011 – originally as the personal fitness coach for Renato Augusto. His field of work quickly extended to the whole squad: as fitness coach but also as a contact and aid to integration for the South Americans in the squad.
