Bayer 04 Leverkusen – the other family. We not only profess this motto but live it too. We would like to address fans, members and supporters of all age and give them the opportunity to actively experience our club. We particularly want to give our experienced members over 55 the opportunity to be an even bigger part of the active 'Werkself family'. That is why we set up the Silver Lions in July 2017 as a special offer in the Bayer 04 Club tailored to your requirements.

Bayer 04 launches networks for the Netherlands and Belgium
Werkself fans from the Netherlands and Belgium take note! Bayer 04 has launched new networks for Germany's two neighbours for the 2024/25 season. Registrations for these are possible with immediate effect, and there will also be direct contacts for supporters from the Netherlands and Belgium in future.

For 2024/25 season: Adjustment to ticket prices
After many years of price stability, Bayer 04 is increasing ticket prices for the first time again for the 2024/25 season. By adjusting the prices for season and match tickets, the double winners will return to the level of the season before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in many areas. There will only be minor changes for children's and standing tickets.

Special train for fans to DFB Cup final in Berlin
On 25 May, the Werkself have the chance to follow up their Bundesliga title by winning the DFB Cup. The many travelling Bayer 04 fan are set to provide the necessary support for the clash against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. So that as many of you as possible can create an unforgettable atmosphere on the day, the Bayer 04 Club is offering travel for all holders of a ticket for the cup final. Supporters without a valid ticket are not entitled to apply for a place on the special train.

Night before DFB Cup final: Tickets for the Bayer 04 Club party in Berlin
Listen up, Black-and-Red fans: on 24 May, the night before the DFB Cup final between the Werkself and 1. FC Kaiserslautern, Bayer 04 is holding a big club party in the heart of Berlin. Tickets go on sale on Friday 3 May at 12:00 CEST. Full details.

Wolfsburg game: second Bayer 04 member matchday
The Bundesliga home game against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday, 10 March (kick-off: 19.30 CET) is a special one. It is a second member matchday at Bayer 04. This is aimed to attract members with a range of challenges, attractive discounts, exclusive competitions as well as numerous other events in and around the BayArena. The highlight is the first exclusive Club collection. It all starts two hours before kick-off when stadium opens at 17.30 CET.

Walking Football is a form of the game comes from England where you are not allowed to run, to slide in or play the ball over waist height. What sounds odd at first sight is in reality a very interesting and entertaining form of football. Above all for the more mature female and male players this gentle form of the game has a high added value.
Information
- Training is on Wednesdays from 10.30 to noon, in the summer at the Kurt Rieß facility and in the winter at LIGA '20.
- Training is led by two qualified coaches.
- How to play football is not necessary.
- Women and men are warmly welcome.
- Participation in national and international tournaments.
- Regular games against amateur and Bundesliga clubs.

- The lads from Sportskanone, a multimedia student initiative, visited the training in December 2021. As a result, they produced a report that shows Walking Football at Bayer 04 really well. You can see the report HERE.
Your ambassador – Jürgen Gelsdorf
Hello Silver Lions,
I am happy to step up as your ambassador. After my previous roles at Bayer 04 as a player, coach and head of the Performance Centre, being a Silver Lion ambassador is completely different again. I see it as a sign of great appreciation that I was asked. I didn't hesitate to say yes.
With the offer of the Silver Lions, the Bayer 04 Club have come up with a great idea. I'm particularly looking forward to meeting long-standing fans. We will definitely meet each other at one of the Silver Lion events. Until then I wish you lots of fun and success with our Werkself.
