Up to 30,210 fans can come to the BayArena. For European games the capacity is reduced to 29,412. The BayArena opens two hours before kick-off.
Match tickets can be used by fans on matchdays to travel free on the ÖPNV network (VRS and VRR). Bayer 04 also provide a shuttle bus service from the Kurtekotten car park. As S-Bahn services around Leverkusen Mitte station are suspended there can be major challenges after matches. Please take this into account when planning your trip.
Snacks and drinks can be paid for using Girocard and credit card (ViISA or MasterCard) plus Apple Pay and Google Pay.
From the 2023/24 season there is also a Veggie Corner. This is located in the North-East of the BayArena. This season there will be fast lanes at certain kiosks on the lower tier. These are exclusively for the purchase of drink and return of deposit beakers. The sales points are signed accordingly. Deposit beakers can also be deposited for a good cause at the big deposit bins.
The beer garden in the north-west area of the BayArena is open and DJ Borni invites you to drop by to enjoy good music.
Fans must not bring large bags, rucksacks etc. All objects bigger than A4 size cannot be taken into the BayArena. In an emergency, baggage can be deposited for a fee of one euro at the service centres marked OST, WEST and GAST. The deposit points open two hours before the match and close 45 minutes after the final whistle.
Home-made signs and placards can be taken into the BayArena. Given the fire protection regulations they may not be bigger than A3 size. Security will not permit signs and placards into the ground if they exceed this format.
The Schwadbud in the East Stand at the BayArena opens two hours before kick-off for Werkself home games. Similarly to the kiosks, payments at the Schwadbud can only be made using Girocard and credit cards (VISA or Mastercard) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
For children up to the age of three, Bayer 04 offer free lap tickets (tickets without an allocated seat). These can be collected from the ticket offices at service points OST, WEST and GAST. With out a lap ticket, the youngest will not be allowed into the BayArena. Lap tickets are not available for the standing areas.
Ticket offices at the service points OST, WEST and GAST are open two hours before kick-off. Tickets in a higher price category can be upgraded. Otherwise tickets can also be bought there providing the BayArena is not sold out.
Active referees have the opportunity to secure free tickets. Around two weeks before a match, the Middle Rhine Football Association opens up an online facility that can be reached via this link. With a successful application the ticket will be sent via email 3 to 5 days before the game. Referees who are unsuccessful will not be sent any specific information.
Bayer 04 also offers tickets for active referees for European games. The application process is the same but it requires the use of a different link.

Tickets for Bayer 04 matches at the BayArena are transferable. If you are unable to come to a match then you can pass on your ticket to friends, family or acquaintances.
