Werkself strike late again in 4-3 win over Wolfsburg
Bayer 04 edged a topsy-turvy encounter 4-3 against VfL Wolfsburg on Bundesliga Matchday 4. An own goal from Nordi Mukiele (5') gave the visitors the lead. Florian Wirtz (15') and Jonathan Tah (32') turned it around for the Werkself, but then Wolfsburg regained the lead through Sebastiaan Bornauw (37') and Mattias Svanberg (45'+1) before the first half was done. Piere Hincapie equalised early in the second half (49') before Victor Boniface once again rewarded the hosts' dominant display in the dying seconds (90'+3).

Birthday girl Kögel scores as Bayer 04 Women win at Essen
Bayer 04 Women won their second away game of the Bundesliga season thanks to birthday girl Kristin Kögel. Coach Roberto Pätzold's side beat SGS Essen 2-0 in a hard-fought contest on Saturday afternoon, with the midfielder scoring one goal (46') and setting up another for Janou Levels (57') on her 25th birthday. The win takes Leverkusen's tally to seven points after three matchdays.
