After a mixed start to the season, Bayer 04 travel to Borussia Park in Mönchengladbach on matchday nine in the 2017/18 season. It is Saturday 21 October 2017. Borussia take the lead on seven minutes and deservedly retain the lead to half-time. Bayer 04 will have to manage without Florian Wirtz. The Germany international suffered a ligament injury in his right ankle in the home game against Werder Bremen (0-2) on Saturday.
