Awareness ConCept in Berlin: Team Lotte
- Alida (our Team Luisa coordinator) will be travelling to Berlin and will be the contact person for the ‘Team Lotte’ and ‘Team Luisa’ awareness concept together with Team Lotte during the DFB Pokal final. She will be available via Team Lotte
- Discrimination of all kinds - such as sexism, racism or queerphobia - is unfortunately still a problem in our society and also in football. As a club, we want to counteract discriminatory and transgressive attacks on matchdays even more resolutely and offer help to those affected. The ‘Where is Lotte?’ protection concept was launched at the start of the 2022/23 season. The focus here is on protecting those affected. On matchdays, helpers from ‘Team Lotte’ are on the move around the stadium in eye-catching pink waistcoats and there is also a shelter. Those affected can go there for support and help. Psychosocial emergency support is available on site and there are contacts with the medical service. We can also refer those affected to trained partner organisations that provide professional support beyond 'first aid' and the matchday.
- How does it work? If you experience discrimination, harassment, threats, distress, insults or violence (physical or psychological), we want to offer you a safe place and help. The offer is aimed at all people who need help on matchday. Our volunteer ‘Team Lotte’ is out and about in the stadium and can be contacted directly. You can use the code word ‘Where is Lotte?’ to contact all stadium staff in or after unpleasant situations. The use of the code word is intended to lower the inhibition threshold for reporting an assault. The informed staff will then contact the trained ‘Team Lotte’, who will either take you to the shelter or help you in other ways - depending on your needs. You can also contact ‘Team Lotte’ directly yourself:
- Telephone: 0172 / 3204 566 (contactable via SMS, WhatsApp or phone in acute cases on matchday)
- Email: woistlotte@herthabsc.de (also contactable outside matchdays)
