#B04eSports: Convincing win in DFB eCup tie

The Leverkusen eSports players Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and Furkan ‘FURKY’ Kayacik successfully negotiated the first round of the DFB eCup on Wednesday evening 15 March. The #B04eSports players went through to the second round of the cup competition after two overwhelming wins against their opponents from FC 08 Hassloch.

The Bayer 04 eSports players were able to show their talent in the first game: In the first 1 vs 1 against the Hassloch player Maxim ‘ElDoll’ Doll, Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr secured a runaway 7-1 victory. And the second game was also full of goals: Furkan ‘FURKY’ Kayacik faced Levin ‘LamboLambert’ Lambert in the second 1 vs 1 and that game ended in an 11-0 win for the Leverkusen player. The Black and Reds thereby secured a convincing overall victory in the first round of the DFB eCup.

The win qualifies the Bayer 04 eSports players for the second round of the DFB eCup on 26 April.

The DFB eCup is a nationwide eFootball competition organised by the German Football Association (DFB). It is open to eFootball professional players and amateur teams from across Germany.​

The Bayer 04 Women clcoked up a 3-2 win in a friendly against Twente Enschede on Thursday afternoon in the last international break of 2025. In drizzle, Lilla Turanyi (16’), Kristin Kögel (65’) and Paulina Bartz (69’) scored the goals for the Werkself against the Dutch Eredivisie Vrouwen leaders, who are still unbeaten in the league.
