Bayer Leverkusen and the company based in Brandenburg, specialising in investment and property management, have agreed a comprehensive sponsorship package that runs initially to 2018. The sleeves of the Bayer 04 first team shirt will bear the Westminster logo in the opening Bundesliga match away to record champions Bayern Munich on Friday (20.30 CET).
"The Westminster group of companies have presented themselves to us as a family-owned business with ambitious targets. That sort of partner fits in perfectly with us. We are happy to be going into the new Bundesliga season shoulder to shoulder," said Michael Schade the Werkself CEO.
"We are very much looking forward to the partnership with Bayer 04 Leverkusen as performance, passion and commitment on the pitch combine perfectly with our company philosophy," said the Leverkusen-born owner of Westminster, Marian Ziburske. The SME has a tradition of sponsorship in sport over many years and that also includes being the official main sponsor of the Germany ice hockey team.
