The Werkself squad for Marseille

Bayer 04 are away to Olympique Marseille in the third friendly in the current pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign. The match at the top French side from Ligue 1 at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille kicks off tonight (Wednesday) at 20.45 CEST. The following Werkself players travel to the Côte d'Azur.

The following players from the first team squad are on board: Lukas Hradecky, Jonathan Tah, Odilon Kossounou, Jonas Hofmann, Robert Andrich, Nadiem Amiri, Edmond Tapsoba, Arthur, Noah Mbamba, Alejandro Grimaldo, Amine Adli, Victor Boniface, Adam Hlozek, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Exequiel Palacios, Florian Wirtz, Patrick Pentz, Jeremie Frimpong, Gustavo Puerta, Granit Xhaka, Niklas Lomb and Ayman Aourir.

They are joined by Bayer 04 youth players Madi Monamay, Matija Marsenic, Reno Münz (all U19) and Naba Mensah (U17).

After returning from Hamburg and a day off on Easter Monday, the Werkself players were back on the training ground at the BayArena on Tuesday morning. Following the session, Amine Adli was very positive in a media interview about the remaining four matches including the forthcoming home game against FC Augsburg (Saturday, 26 April, 15:30 CEST): "We will give our all to end the season as well as we can!"
