Demirbay expressed his inability to understand a decision by referee Dr. Felix Brych in a TV interview following the Bundesliga match at VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday 20 March. It was was the tenth booking for the Germany international this season; Demirbay is now suspended for the Bundesliga home game against Hertha Berlin on Saturday 2 April.
