Marc ‘MARC_LDW23’ Landwehr and his Leverkusen teammates play fourth-placed Rostock early in the evening. If the Black and Reds clock up nine points in the match then the gap to the Hanseatic team would shrink to two points.
Later in the evening are the derby clashes with FC Köln. They are seventh in the table with a six-point lead over the Werkself and the #B04eSports players have the opportunity to overtake the rivals from Cologne in their own hands. “We will give 100 per cent in the games against Rostock and Köln to give us the best possible chance of making the top six,” said Landwehr on behalf of the whole eSports team at Bayer 04.
The Black and Reds only have one match on the final double matchday in the VBL on Tuesday 1 March. Due to the imbalance in numbers in the North West division (13), Bayer 04 are not playing on the penultimate matchday. The final encounter is with Borussia Mönchengladbach (from 20.00 CET).
Should Landwehr and Co. succeed tonight then it will be a case in the early evening in seven days time: Fingers crossed for the competitors…
The matches involving the #B04eSports team will be broadcast as usual on the club’s Twitch channel. HERE is the link.
