#B04DSC review: Another clean sheet

The fifth win in the seventh Bundesliga match in 2022 and it was a special one for the Werkself: Bayer 04 succeeded in keeping a clean sheet for the first time since the 1-0 win against VfL Bochum on 20 November last year. Yesterday’s 3-0 victory over Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday 26 February was a commanding and resolute performance by the team under head coach Gerardo Seoane.

News in brief ahead of #B04DSC: Minute's silence, mark of respect and no carnival music

The war in Ukraine and the untold suffering of the population naturally has an effect on the Werkself home game against Arminia Bielefeld today, Saturday 26 February (kick-off: 15.30 CET). With a minute's silence immediately before kick-off and wearing black ribbons as a mark of respect, Bayer 04 wish to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine and to express our dismay at the recent political event.

Seoane ahead of #B04DSC: ‘We have to increase intensity’

The Werkself are looking for a fifth win in their eighth match in 2022: Arminia Bielefeld, currently fourteenth in the Bundesliga, visit the BayArena on Saturday 26 February (kick-off: 15.30 CET). The position in the table of the team from East Westphalia is deceptive: Bielefeld are back on course after a difficult start to the season and now considered to be amongst the strongest defensive teams in the top-flight. Ahead of the home game, head coach Gerardo Seoane is expecting his team to primarily show more intensity in their attacking game as well as maintaining a functioning defence.
